Lathrop Opens Chicago Office With Former Sonnenschein Partner

Lathrop & Gage, founded in Kansas City, Mo., has moved into Chicago, opening an office there with former Sonnenschein partner Blaine Kimrey, who began his career at Lathrop. Adding the Chicago office is part of Lathrop's plan to expand into major U.S. business centers at a time when companies are seeking lower-cost alternatives, the firm's chief executive said in a release. Lathrop, which has about 300 lawyers, will now have offices in 11 U.S. locations.
